After their sell-out Songs for Paris last year, 'the gifted singer Jessica Walker' (NY Times) and MD Joseph Atkins return to the Crazy Coqs with a thrilling new French programme about love and death, with numbers both famous and obscure from the Belle ?poque to the great singer-songwriters of the 1960s and 70s. In an evening combining high emotion with Gallic insouciance, Jessica sings new English versions of Barbara, Brassens, Monnot, Francoise Hardy, Mistinguett and Brel. They also perform some of the songs of forgotten 1930s cabaret star Suzy Solidor, about whom Jessica wrote the cabaret play All I Want is One Night, produced by the Royal Exchange Theatre last year.
