Liz Carr and Bird La Bird

Liz Carr and Bird La BirdT1922977510
The criptastic Liz Carr and egg-strordinary Bird la Bird combine their fabulous filofaxes, raunchy rolodexes and comedic contact lists to create a one-off cabaret session for WOW Festival. Liz Carr is a wheelchair using actor, broadcaster, comedian and writer. Currently starring as forensic examiner Clarissa Mullery in BBC's Silent Witness, Carr also performs as part of comedy group Abnormally Funny People and in various cabaret acts and cripteases. She has co-hosted the BBC Ouch! podcast with Mat Fraser for 7 years, and works as a disability rights and assisted suicide campaigner. Exploring history, class and queer femininity, performance artist and comedian Bird la Bird's work has been featured at the V&A, Anxiety Arts Festival, Fringe Festival, London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, National Portrait Gallery and the Wallace Collection. She also works with the Duckie collective and has been a guest lecturer at Goldsmiths, Leeds University and San Francisco Art Institute. Bird la Bird's Bird Club, was a queer femme cabaret night which blurred the boundaries between art, politics and partying.
