Lush Life: A Cabaret About Drinking

Ah, drinking. A topic we can all relate to. We salute libation, in songs including Lush Life, Gimme That Wine, and Drink! We also note the impact of imbibing: Rehab and Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out. LUSH LIFE is hosted by leading lady Valerie Cutko, with musical direction by Tom Carradine. Valerie has performed her solo cabaret shows in many New York and London venues, as well as regularly hosting at Lauderdale House, and she has been a featured vocalist in Monte Carlo. Her West End credits include Grand Hotel, Beautiful and Damned and My Fair Lady she has appeared in the films Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Special guest artists will include the brilliant, black-humoured Dusty Limits, whose catalogue of inebriation includes the new song Drink! (co-written with Michael Roulston), Lowri-Ann Richards, who has a range encompassing rock'n'roll, Victorian music hall, and even Welsh soap operas and Martin Milnes, who recently directed The Grand Duke by Gilbert and Sullivan at the Finborough. London cabaret artist Champagne Charlie (Robbie Bonar) will render selected Burns poems and a bit more and David Bottomley will share his poetry, full of nights and insights related to drinking. Other guest artists include snazzy, snarky Michael Conley, Aletia Upstairs and Michelle LaFortune who are sure to be the life of the party
