Mary Carewe is one of the UK's most engaging and versatile performers. She has sung the role of Maria in West Side Story with the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, performed Gershwin songs in Berlin's Philharmonic Hall, appeared with Thomas Ades and Friends at the Wigmore Hall singing Ades's Life Story, as well as making numerous broadcasts for radio and the BBC Concert Orchestra in gala concerts celebrating such Broadway composers as Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman and Irving Berlin.
