Rachel Sutton & The Roland Perrin Trio archiveRachel Sutton's rich tone and sense of swing, coupled with her background in theatre, makes her an engaging interpreter of both classic Jazz and more contemporary repertoire. Also a gifted songwriter, Rachel's widely acclaimed debut album, A Million Conversations, was called ‘a revelation' by Jazz Views and displays her talent for both achingly tender and uplifting song writing. A theatre student at The Welsh College of Music and Drama, she has gone on to play some of the lead roles in Shakespeare, touring the UK and Europe. Rachel's vocal abilities have landed her roles in award winning shows at the Edinburgh and New York Fringe. She has performed sell out gigs at top London Jazz clubs as well as venues and festivals across the UK and abroad. Her role in ‘Lansky: The Mob's Money Man' at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank and Cadogan Hall, received wide acclaim - 'stand out performer' London Jazz News. Tonight, Rachel will be playing songs from her album, A Million Conversations, together with beautiful arrangements from The Great American Songbook. There will also be new compositions from her next album, due to be released later in the year.
