No Sweat is a new creation by The Generating Company, a spectacularly physical show about women by women. Ten daring female performers defy the laws of gravity on a soundtrack featuring the music and songs of iconic female artists, including; Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Florence + The Machine, Missy Elliot, and Grace Jones. From a bare stage the design explodes into an elaborate installation of flown poles and fixed bars that integrates multiple corde lisse, acro contact dance, handstand, Chinese pole, and ensemble physical dance. The international multi-skilled cast performs in, around, above and on the structure, working each apparatus to its breaking point. The Generating Company breaks down the barriers between circus, dance and theatre. They have played live to over a million people with original shows performing and touring on three continents.
