The Bard of Windmill Hill has been poet in residence and co-organiser of the popular Bristol variety show Lansdown Cabaret since 2008. His ?Word Wizard Cabarets' have featured at various venues including the Colston Hall. His one man show was described by Cheltenham Poetry Festival as ?cerebral stand-up at its best'. The delivery style of his love poetry has been described as ?distinctively sensuous', and his satire as ?brilliant' and 'captivating'. Mark Darkside is a Bristol based singer-songwriter who ranges from the wittily comic to the poignantly tragic. He has penned fruity lines of love which he delivers with exquisite panache and has adapted Shakespearean sonnets to music, enriching them with his innovative arrangements and soaring vocals. He has also featured at various venues around the south-west as an Elton John impersonator. Mike Scott is a folk hero, a droll iconoclast who can be often be located on the local club scene in the West of England. Though inclined to astute criticism of the prevailing order he nevertheless humbly confesses that he has have never been able to hang on to a half-baked opinion until it is entirely baked. Perhaps this explains why he is a folk singer rather than a politician? David C Johnson is a performance poet for the discerning mature audience: suave, urbane, unashamedly middle-class, long-married and financially secure. Characteristically, he has written a pithy observation on the unhelpfulness of these circumstances for his life as a poet.
