A Hawk and a Hacksaw - Yorkshire Festival presents The Songlines Series archive+ support. Deeply immersed in the musical traditions of Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey, A Hawk and A Hacksaw's music is full of colour, grandeur and romance. The richness of dance numbers featuring accordion and violin contrasts with eerie ballads and dulcimer-laden instrumentals. For their Howard Assembly Room concert, the duo of accordionist/drummer Jeremy Barnes (also of indie legends Neutral Milk Hotel) and violinist Heather Trost will be joined by percussionist and fellow New Mexico native Issa Malluf.
