Piano recital Inspired by the Romanic literary works of Byron, Schiller and Senancour, and the magisterial landscape of Swiss mountains and lakes, much of Liszt s Ann?es de P?lerinage Suisse was composed during a 16-month sojourn from 1835-6. Revised in 1855, the collection is brilliantly effective in depicting natural scenes and conveying constantly changing moods. Andreas Haefliger s first visit to Lakeside was a highlight of the season, his return concert is not to be missed.
