2003 marks the centenary of the collection of the first folk song in England by the remarkable Cecil Sharp. Ashley Hutchings and his hand-picked group of singers and musicians pay tribute to Sharp and his achievements in this concert, part of a nationwide tour. The four-piece band will sing some of the important folk songs that Sharp collected, all linked together by Ashley's narration and Cecil Sharp, speaking words from his diaries and books.
