The BBC Concert Orchestra is one of the country s most versatile ensembles. For more than half a century it has been the house orchestra for BBC Radio 2 s Friday Night is Music Night and gives regular broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. Its work can be heard on soundtracks to many BBC TV programmes including Blue Planet, Frozen Planet and Human Planet. The BBC Concert Orchestra brings its unique mix of versatility and excellence to its regional home. As well as its weekly slot on BBC Radio 2, the orchestra give regular broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. Its work can be heard annually at the BBC Proms and on BBC TV programmes including Frozen Planet, Planet Earth and ZingZillas.
