St George's Day Concert
The programme spans four centuries, with the earliest dating from Shakespeare’s time, up to the rarely heard original version of Land of Hope & Glory. It also includes film music from 633 Squadron and Richard III; some Gilbert & Sullivan; music with links to Berwick; and show music by England’s answer to Rodgers & Hammerstein. Kate Fish will also sing Business Girls and Song of the Nightclub Proprietress, two very atmospheric songs, by the late Madeleine Dring.
