Zimbabwean born Blessing Magore is one of Nottingham's rising singer-songwriters who has created his own unique fusion of Afro-funk/Reggae with hints of samba and zouk. This 20 year old musician, who moved to the UK at the age of 17, also sings in his mother tongue of Shona and was part of this years neat14 Festival, where he gave a stellar performance. Blessing's passion for music started at the age of five. Whilst growing up, he learnt various instruments from guitar, piano and drums to marimba and mbira. He gained his music experience over the years as a session musician playing for different artistes and bands at various events around Zimbabwe. Blessing will be performing tracks from his upcoming EP with his live band. His influences are Lucky Dube, Oliver Mtukudzi, Mokoomba and Bob Marley.
