Roots music from a trio who blend country blues, traditional English ballads, New Orleans R&B and more with a sense of fun and adventure. Formed as an impromptu folk club band to pay tribute to Shirley Collins when she was awarded her MBE, Blue Blokes 3 are old pals. The band are Ben Mandelson and Lu Edmonds, best known from Billy Bragg's Blokes and Mustapha 3, and Ian Anderson of Hot Vultures and the English Country Blues Band. Their new album Stubble delivers a whimsical take on blues standards and is out now on Fledg'ling Records.
