Frankie Armstrong and Mikey Price perform songs drawn from Brecht's writings for cabaret and satiric operas in Germany during the 1920s and 1930s, and his exile in 1940s America. A professional singer since 1964, Frankie is known for her pioneering Voice Workshops based on ethnic styles of singing, which have been taught all over Europe, North America and Australia. She recorded Let No One Deceive You: Songs of Bertolt Brecht with the American blues legend, Dave Van Ronk (the man who taught House of the Rising Sun to Bob Dylan).
