Caramel Jack archiveBrighton favourites Caramel Jack are perhaps best known for a trio of Americana themed albums in the 2000s; Seven Brides for Caramel Jack, Songs From Low Story and 1900. The albums drew 4-starred attention from publications like Uncut, Mojo and The Independent, national radio play on Radio 6 and support slots with the likes of Regina Spektor, Pernice Brothers, Clem Snide, Peter Bruntnell and Mark Mulcahy. The quartet return to live action at the Prince Albert trailing a forthcoming album called Pinkerton in Love. Displaying once again their obsession with the classic American songbook, the new record promises to be a heady brew of R&B, folk and avant-rock, with clanging industrial guitars, soulful vocals and a lyrical landscape strewn with abandoned factories, superheroes, glamorous Hollywood starlets, TV cops and baseball stadiums.
