Details

The innovative ensemble Cellorhythmics is the result of collaborative efforts from two leading exponents of their musical fields - Moscow conservatoire trained soloist Nakipbekova and award winning jazz/contemporary rock composer and performer, James Hesford. Hesford's compositions fully explore the limitless possibilities of cello as a rhythmic and improvisational medium, from the hauntingly beautiful solo Caprice no 2 to the techno influenced New Arm Polly. Joined by Mario Castronari (double bass), Steve Anstee (cello) and Marc Layton-Bennett (percussion).
