Celtic Affair are a Birmingham band made up of first and second generation members of the Irish disaspora, with a mixture of fiddles, squeeze-boxes and steel pedal, eliciting tapping feet and rave reviews. Fola's singer and flautist Kate grew up on a mixed diet of music from Irish traditional to rock, while Dublin-born songwriter Andy was influenced by reggae, ska and punk, not to mention local heroes Led Zeppelin and Slade. Together their music crosses genre boundaries.
