World-renowned conductor Charles Hazlewood takes a roller-coaster ride through Mussorgsky's Romantic masterwork, exploring how the great Russian composer creates such accurate and arresting pictures in sound. Conducting the magnificent Wells Cathedral Brass Ensemble, Charles will perform a kind of open-heart surgery on the music, exploring the vital parts and how they combine into a living musical narrative. This thought-provoking, lively and entertaining evening will involve the entire audience, and will culminate in a complete performance of Mussorgsky's Pictures.
