He may have been born and raised in New York, but Chip Taylor's heart was always out there in the wide open spaces that gave birth to country music. The writer of such huge hits as 'Wild Thing' (recorded by Jimi Hendrix and The Troggs), 'Angel of the Morning' (Chrissie Hynde), 'Try' (Janis Joplin), 'I Can't Let Go' (The Hollies and Linda Ronstadt) and 'Country Girl, City Man' (Ike and Tina Turner), Chip is also a singer and performer of tremendous talent and presence whose highly colourful life informs his inspirations.
