Beguiling, compelling and fantastical, French composer Cecile 'Colleen Schott makes music that is unlike anything you have ever heard. Her simple but effortlessly charming songs are ones of magical details - naïve instrumentals filled with warmth, melody and soul, played on a broken music box, a glockenspiel or guitar phasing in and out, with weaving ellipses of soft vibraphone, eternally swelling strings and dust particle crackles... all on the verge of collapse. Think of slow, sleepy, seductive melodies and gently tinkling dreamlike sonatas that coalesce to form mesmerising spider s webs of sound that seem as though they ve been beamed in from another place and time.
