This very special concert celebrates the great cultural diversity in Crawley - a town where over 90 languages are spoken. Cross Currents present a brand new piece of music that has been specially written to reflect the many ethnic and cultural backgrounds that make up the town. Cross Currents is a collaboration by musicians from across Crawley, with guidance from composer Robert Jarvis. Growing out of the Gurjar Hindu Union, the Celtic & Irish Cultural Society and the Crawley Folk Festival, the project has welcomed players from a wide variety of backgrounds to create a unique performance which reflects the variety of musicians involved.
