Cuban Voices, Sheffield Voices
T0
Get ready to be transported to a balmy summer evening in Santiago de Cuba. Come and be thrilled by the exquisite singing of Sheffield children and Camerata Vocal Musica Aurea, a world class choir from Cuba, led by award winning director Delvis Sanchez. As part of their visit to Sheffield and the UK this summer, Aurea will be running workshops and performing at Lowfield, Byron Wood, Westways and Bradway Primary Schools, King Edward VII Upper and Lower Schools and Sheffield Music Academy. This event will see the young people from all these schools performing Cuban songs with Aurea and other work from their repertoires, culminating in a grand finale performance of Cuba's best known song, Guantanamera. Latin rhythms will be provided by Firs Hill drumming group.
