An eclectic mix of songs from musicals old and new, interspersed with snippets from plays, brought to life by a company of experienced local performers. HippHapp is a brand-new production company founded by well-known local performer Thomas Hackett, who has worked with several companies across the South East, taking part in productions in Eastbourne, Brighton and Lewes. Despite his love for treading the boards, Thomas enjoys all areas of the theatre and has taken on the role of director or musical director for many productions. Curtain Up features songs from musicals you may find familiar including Gyspy, Follies, The Pajama Game and The Sound of Music. The show also showcases other musicals which are lesser known such as She Loves Me, Catch Me If You Can, Nine and Songs for a New World. This means there really is something to suit all tastes! The cast is made up of local performers, many of whom have worked professionally in theatre. Alongside Thomas, the company features Jane James, Alex Adams, Barney Pout, Avril Bell, Rowan Stanfield, Paula Pout, Debbie Adams and many more faces you will recognise! A pianist will accompany the performers helping to make the evening intimate, exciting, entertaining and unique. Truly a one off! Curtain Up will provide you with a glimpse into the bright future of HippHapp.Company HippHapp.
