Three musicians, who each approach jazz from different traditions, come together as they dismantle the barriers between jazz and flamenco music. On the piano David Pena Dorantes, who closed the Flamenco Festival in 2007, uses influences from classical to Celtic to create an avant-garde style that is wholly his own. "Spellbinding performer" (Daily Telegraph) Adam Ben Ezra has pioneered a new form of playing the double bass, which gives it the platform it deserves. And saxophonist for the Rolling Stones Tim Ries, brings his mastery of the instrument to complete this very special ensemble.
