Eileen McGann is widely recognised as one of the best contemporary Canadian songwriters, as well as one of the finest Celtic traditional singers anywhere. Her soaring voice is a beautiful instrument in its own right; clear, melodious and expressive. She also plays guitar and bouzouki, with David K filling in the gaps on slide and bass guitar, percussion and on vocals. Together they perform a combination of traditional and original material. Her choice of traditional songs is motivated by her Celtic heritage and includes many of the songs that her recent ancestors took across the Atlantic with them, making her an unparalleled interpreter of the tradition on either side of the pond.
