Italians Rava and Bollani have been playing together since the early 1990s, and more recently have collaborated on the albums Easy Living and Tati. Winner of the 2007 European Jazz Prize, Bollani has cemented his reputation further since his Piano Solo CD was named Best Album of 2006 in Italy's Jazz Musica.
