The band Faust has been around for thirty years. At a time in music that produced bands such as Tangerine Dream and Can, Faust was at the forefront of German experimentalism. Faust's music can be described as a relentless amalgam of industrial percussion, brutal synthesizers and free rock improvisation. Bringing a beat to the industrial wastelands of noise this band manages to be both terrifying powerful and hauntingly poetic.
