Details
The origins of Fodens (Coutois) Band stretch back to 1900 and the Boer War, when it was formed in the village of Elworth to mark the relief of Mafeking. Since then the Band has enjoyed an illustrious career, achieving champion status in 1908, a position it has since maintained. Last year the Fodens Band took the Royal Albert Hall by storm, to become, in its 100th year, the National Champions of Great Britain for the twelfth time.
