Folk Against Fascism's Village Fete

Folk Against Fascism's Village FeteT0
Queen Elizabeth Hall plays host to an all-star jamboree-style concert featuring Southbank Centre Artists in Residence Bellowhead, Chumbawamba and Show of Hands. Before the concert, enjoy a full day of traditional folk fun, as Folk Against Fascism brings the festivity of a village celebration to the banks of the Thames. Free events in The Front Room at Queen Elizabeth Hall include ceilidhs featuring the Oyster Ceilidh Band and The Old Swan Band, and an afternoon foyer concert, Club Peripherique, featuring Dogan Mehmet Band, Boka Halat (Roger Watson), Thomas McCarthy and more. Folk Against Fascism is an organisation set up to counteract attempts by far-right organisations to appropriate the UK's traditional music, song and dance.
