Production details

+ support. Six-time Grammy nominated trumpeter/composer Dave Douglas and his Keystone band have collaborated with experimental filmmaker Bill Morrison to compose an entirely new score for Spark of Being, a reimagining of the Frankenstein story. Ambient and loosely structured, with its own brand of timelessness, it moves alongside grainy black-and-white footage to create a timeworn world where Frankenstein really existed. Innovative guitarist Gary Lucas - one-time member of Captain Beefheart's Magic Band and a writer and contributor to Jeff Buckley's Grace - has composed a solo guitar score for a different, more full-blooded Dracula: the 1931 Spanish film version as directed by Enrique Tovar and George Melford. An atmospheric evening bent on bringing back to life one of the darkest creatures in literature. Queen Elizabeth Hall
