T0857251120Gintaute Gataveckaite was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. She is completing her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Northern College of Music, under Head of Keyboard, Graham Scott. Gintaute has received awards in a number of national and international competitions. Most recently she was chosen to perform in the RNCM s Gold Medal Weekend and last month won second prize in the Brant Piano Competition. She also won the Bakst Memorial Prize and second prize in the Beethoven Intercollegiate Piano Competition (2008) and her Piano Trio won the Hirsh Prize (2009). In 2005 she gave a concert in Germany during the visit of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus. She has performed in many concerts and participated in various masterclasses. Gintaute will perform works by Mendelssohn, Ravel and Rachmaninoff. | |
