T665805234Organised and delivered by Wakefield based arts organisation, Faceless, Global Echoes is the culmination of an 18 month world music project where musicians from Zimbabwe, alongside specialist arts workers from Yorkshire, have been teaching new musical styles in schools and community groups. Global Echoes is a celebratory performance showcasing work from project participants and featuring a new work from Sigopanda Dance Theatre, a professional company founded in Zimbabwe in 1993 as a collaboration between Zimbabwean choreographers, Godfrey Pambalipe and Simon Banda. Godfrey and Simon have worked all over the world and extensively in the UK. The Global Echoes project has been made possible with funding from Youth Music and partnership funding from Hemsworth Arts and Community College. | |
