Ian Le Grice became a Junior Exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music where he was taught piano, oboe and organ as well as theory and music history. After leaving school he continued his studies at the RCM as a full-time student and was awarded the Geoffrey Tankard Organ Prize in his final year.
