Production details

This distinguished former student of Alfred Brendel gives the second of this season’s two Schubert recitals in her ongoing survey of the composer’s piano works. Opening with the ever-popular Moments Musicaux, she continues with the powerful C minor Sonata, the first of Schubert’s final great trilogy in the genre. Finally we’ll hear the G major Sonata, a work of heavenly calm. "This was lyrical mastery of the most haunting kind" (The Sunday Times). Queen Elizabeth Hall
