Composer, arranger, producer, musical director and saxophonist, Jason Yarde writes music that has been described as powerful, spiritual, evocative and formidable. Joining him will be big band Voice of the North, formed over the last ten years and made up of the finest jazz musicians from across the northeast. Jason has been specially commissioned to write a new work for the Voice of the North, this will be its premiere. He will also perform works originally written for the Jazz Warriors but never recorded.
