As a concert pianist she has worked with such eminent figures as Pierre Boulez, Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Colin Davis, and has premiered landmark works from Django Bates to John Adams. A restless innovator, she has continued to break down musical barriers throughout her career, including cross-genre collaborations with Brian Eno, Nitin Sawhney and, at this year's London Jazz Festival, virtuoso oud player Dhafer Youssef.
