The Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room will host one of the UK's most interesting up-and-coming singer-songwriters Jono McCleery for the 3rd year of the annual Independent Venue Week. Born deaf, McCleery only became able to hear at age 5. He picked up the guitar as an eighteen year-old, honing his craft on the London live circuit. Along the way his music, which has been described as like ?Miles Davis, Massive Attack, John Martyn, Fink and Radiohead wrapped up in one exquisitely produced sound', has picked up a small army of evangelical fans, including luminaries such as Tom Robinson and Vashti Bunyan. He has released three albums to date: Darkest Light, There Is and Pagodes (released October 2015). Jono will be performing with his trio Milo Fitzpatrick (Portico) on double bass, and Dan See on drums.
