Winner of the 2005 Asia/Pacific BBC Radio 3 World Music Award, Kaushiki is the child of celebrated Hindustani classical singer Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. Born in 1980, Kaushiki has been accompanying her father since the late eighties. She is now being hailed as one of the brightest emerging artists in Indian vocal music.
