Founded in 2005 to give local players the opportunity to flex their musical talents, Lampeter Chamber Orchestra has earned an enviable reputation for performances of a high standard in a wide-ranging, adventurous repertoire featuring works by Wagner, Elgar, Puccini, Prokofiev and Bartok alongside Handel, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. With some of its younger members going on to study at conservatoires and appearing as soloists with other orchestras, Lampeter Chamber Orchestra certainly boasts a wealth of talent amongst its 30-strong members, with several musicians currently playing in the Three Counties Youth Orchestra.
