His influence has inspired over forty million Chinese children to learn to play classical piano - a phenomenon coined by The Today Show as "the Lang Lang effect", which is now as strong as ever. A superstar of the piano, Lang Lang has been hailed by the New York Times as ‘the hottest artist on the classical music planet’. At the age of just 28 he has played sold out recitals and concerts in every major city in the world. He was seen by millions at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and he has inspired millions of children to learn to play classical piano – a phenomenon which has been called the Lang Lang effect. In his first visit to the Hall he will share his passion through incredible performances of Beethoven, Albeniz and Prokofiev.
