Donegal fiddler Liz Doherty imparts what is best about Irish music - sheer fun and joy! A former member of Nomos and Bumblebees, she brings to her playing an exuberant energy that is rhythmical and powerful. Liz is also internationally renowned as a fiddler teacher and lectured in traditional music at University College, Cork for seven years but decided to resign from full-time lecturing in 2001 to pursue her fiddle playing. Australian guitar player Dave O'Neill joins her for this tour to celebrate the release of her new CD Quare Imagination, a musical journey of tunes from Donegal, Scotland and Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
