On 27 January they perform John Adams' Slonimsky’s Earbox, Bernstein's Symphony No 1 Jeremiah and Beethoven's Symphony No 7. Mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor sings the vocal part in Jeremiah. The visit ends on 28 January with Mahler's Symphony No 9. Los Angeles Philharmonic is one of the Barbican’s International Associates and will be returning to the Centre for regular residencies in the seasons to follow.
