Production details

A crossover tenor with the ability to sing everything from hard-rock anthem to operatic aria, Mario Frangoulis will take the Hall’s audience on a journey around the world with an international repertoire of music. He will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra and joined by special guests Lara Fabian, Justin Hayward, Natasha Marsh, Steve Balsamo and Anthony Inglis. Mario famously performed on the London stage as Marius in Les Miserables and Raoul in Phantom of the Opera, but his international career has also seen his albums ride high in the USA and European charts. Equally at home on the opera stage, he has appeared with Domingo and Carreras. Despite an intensive training (including the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Julliard School in New York), Mario Frangoulis is anything but a conventional operatic singer. He simply loves to sing - and bring as much music, fun and joy to his audience as he possibly can. Special guest Lara Fabian is a true international superstar, having sold more than 10 million records across five continents. She appeared with Mario Frangoulis performing ‘So In Love’ in Irwin Winkler’s Cole Porter biopic 'De-Lovely'. With legendary group The Moody Blues, Justin Hayward has enjoyed stardom for the past three decades. Justin and Mario performed a very special version of Nights in White Satin at the Theatre of the Earth in Thessaloniki to great acclaim, and they will re-create this magical moment at the Hall. Welsh soprano Natasha Marsh is one of the UK’s most respected new talents, with a Classical Brit nomination already to her name and a debut album, 'Amour', that hit the top of the classical charts within the first week of its release. Steve Balsamo is a man awash with talent: singer, songwriter, actor and musician. He shot to prominence in 1997 after playing Jesus to great critical acclaim in the West End revival of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Anthony Inglis has been described by the Press as one of Britain’s most popular conductors. He is the Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra who also performs at this event.
