Details

Mor Karbasi is a young Israeli singer and composer of mixed Persian and Moroccan heritage. She sings ladino songs - the emotional ballads of southern Spain, drawing on Sephardic, gypsy and flamenco roots. Mor and guitarist partner Joe Taylor live in the old Jewish area of Seville and her third album (La Tsadika) reflects these surroundings.
