T0378456169In a first for the Royal Opera House, NITRO at the Opera presents newly commissioned work for the classical voice from nine black British composers. The Linbury Studio Theatre will stage two performances each of three short operas by Errollyn Wallen, Clement Ishmael and Dominique Le Gendre. In the Crush Room, a recital programme of six duets and arias by Alex Wilson, Ola Onabule, Nicky Brown, Tunde Jegede, Dainty Drysdale and Orphy Robinson will feature Hubert Francis and Ha Young Lee of the Vilar Young Artists. Other related events taking place as part of this one-day festival will include family workshops and opportunities for discussion and debate.
