T0106107231On Top of the World 06/07 is the culmination of a year-long innovative programme of music-making with young people from across Greater Manchester. Since July 2006 young musicians have been taking part in a range of GMMAZ projects and creating music to be performed exclusively at The Lowry on Sunday 29th July. Over the last year, the young musicians of On Top of the World 06/07 have worked along side GMMAZ artists, and some of Manchester’s finest musical heroes, to put together their very own show-stopping event. Exploring all styles of music, from gospel to pop, through rock, drum ‘n’ bass, soul, grime and hip-hop, the young musicians of On Top of the World have written and composed an original set list for their performance. Talented and inspirational young vocalists, MCs, beat-boxers, instrumentalists and DJs will come together on stage at The Lowry, with established and emerging Manchester artists, to share their work and offer an evening of exciting new music.
