Details

This charity concert will pay tribute to legendary soul singer Dougie Martin. One More Time will feature reformed versions of the illustrious singer's band, Mafia, along with tributes and stories to the singer. Dougie was lead singer with Mafia and before that The Poor Souls. All the profits from ticket sale are going towards the Macmillan Nurses. Born and educated in Dundee, Dougie started his first band in 1956. Among the music community he was held in high esteem, not only in his home city, but across Scotland and the UK. On the sleeve notes of his last album, SoulMan, he said he was brought up on the start of rock ?n' roll, through the '60s and soul music and Motown, to the present day. In the early 1960s, Dougie shared a stage with the Beatles when they made a visit to Dundee. He made up part of one of the support acts, the tartan-clad Hi Four.
