T1850267777Since its inception in 2002, the Osian Roberts/Steve Fishwick Quintet has built a strong reputation as one of the most consistent and exciting live acts on the U.K. jazz scene. They've released 3 albums, toured extensively throughout the UK, once with piano legend Hod O' Brien, and most recently recorded in New York with the great Cedar Walton and Peter Washington. They play mainly original music with some standards thrown in for good measure, the emphasis being on swinging improvisation with a 1950s/60s 'hard bop' sensibility. | |
