BBC Proms Chamber Music Featured artist Christian Tetzlaff is joined by his regular duo partner Lars Vogt for a recital that travels from Mozart's last major work for violin and piano, completed just before the premiere of Don Giovanni, to Bartok's First Violin Sonata, composed in 1921. The Hungarian composer, a Tetzlaff favourite, here stretches tonality in a sonata which provides a visceral, richly rewarding listening experience while pushing its players' techniques to their limits.
